Trainer
Experience: Over 25 years in rider development and horse training, teaching hundreds of students from age six through adulthood.
Teaching approach: Foundation-oriented instruction tailored to each rider’s learning style, with an emphasis on confidence, safety and skill development.
Disciplines: English, Western, and groundwork.
Student Achievements: Many of her students have successfully competed and advanced in horse shows throughout the Northeast and Midwest.
Horse Training
Daun has trained 250+ horses, including at least 100 specifically for the safety and skill development of youth riders.
Volunteer Safety Evaluator
Daun created a competition-readiness safety evaluation program for Erie County 4-H that remains in use.
Rider Development
Daun focuses on rider safety, preparation, equitation, performance assessment and individualized lesson planning.
Daun’s Learning Approach
Daun draws from both personal experience and years of research into how different people learn and process information — work that began while homeschooling her son after he was diagnosed with multiple processing disorders. She incorporates sensory- and auditory-based teaching techniques that have successfully supported nearly 100 youth riders with a range of learning challenges.

Daun is a highly successful rider herself:
P.O.N.Y. (Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York) Association / USPC: Equitation Champion, Futurity Champion, Hunter Under Saddle Champion, Showmanship Champion, Horsemanship Champion.
Erie County 4-H: High Point Overall Erie County Rider, High Point Senior Rider, Senior Showmanship Champion, Senior Hunt Seat Champion, Senior Western Champion, Inter-county Rally competitor and champion.
Breed Association Competitions: 5-time Region 16 Qualifier (Arabian Horse Association), Multiple Point Earning Rider in AQHA (Quarter Horse), APHA (Paint Horse), and NSBA (National Snaffle Bit Association).

Jamie Wooldridge
Manager
Jamie looks forward to hearing from you and scheduling a visit.
At age 50, Jamie became an avid horsewoman after finally pursuing her lifelong dream of learning English riding style, specifically dressage. She rides multiple times per week and is continuously improving her riding skills.
Jamie is a distinguished pediatric pulmonologist and business leader with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice and medical education. Throughout her medical career, she managed academic healthcare operations overseeing teams of more than 250 employees. She brings this background and project management expertise to her role as manager of Shallow Creek Stables, LLC. Jamie oversees administrative management, financial planning, legal structuring, client relations, and scheduling.
Mike Kropp
Barn Property Manager
Mike brings experience in Western riding competitions and horse training to his role managing the barn property.
